8th Annual Reading: A Family Affair Festival on March 1, 2014

The Literacy Council of Northern Virginia invites you to the 8th Annual Reading: A Family Affair (RAFA), a family festival that brings books to life through performance art!  The festival will happen on March 1, 2014 at the James Lee Community Center in Falls Church. RAFA will spotlight storytellers, musicians, dancers, puppeteers, magicians, and Clifford the Big Red Dog.  Performers include lots of renowned, local favorite such as: Mr. Knick Knack; Jane Franklin Dance; Blue Sky Puppet Theatre; Dean Alan (The Wizard of Reading); Barbara Effron; Oh Susannah!; Sing Books with Emily; Marc Spiegel; and Gary Lloyd.  Plus, all kids get a free book to take home!

Cost:     Suggested donation of $5 per family to benefit the Literacy Council of Northern Virginia’s Student Scholarship Fund.
