 It's consignment sale season, and one of the biggest and best, The Fairfax County Mothers of Multiples (FCMOM) semi-annual consignment sale is Saturday, March 15, 2014.
This very large and well-organized event has 200+ families consigning items. All families have twins, triplets or more, so there is an unbelievable amount of baby and kid merchandise. Editors looked at hundreds of new products, including action figures and dolls, games and puzzles, construction toys, creative and art-based activities, earth-friendly products, and active toys. Winners were selected based on their creativity, trend-setting potential, value, and fun-factor. “This year, we saw lots of new toys which emphasize STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math—education. The Literacy Council of Northern Virginia invites you to the 8th Annual Reading: A Family Affair (RAFA), a family festival that brings books to life through performance art! The festival will happen on March 1, 2014 at the James Lee Community Center in Falls Church. RAFA will spotlight storytellers, musicians, dancers, puppeteers, magicians, and Clifford the Big Red Dog. Performers include lots of renowned, local favorite such as: Mr. Knick Knack; Jane Franklin Dance; Blue Sky Puppet Theatre; Dean Alan (The Wizard of Reading); Barbara Effron; Oh Susannah!; Sing Books with Emily; Marc Spiegel; and Gary Lloyd. The semi-annual CWP Children’s Consignment Sale will take place on Saturday, March 8th at Springfield United Methodist Church. Available for sale will be clothes, shoes, toys, books, baby supplies, outdoor play areas, indoor play areas, baby swings, pack-n-plays, bassinets, bouncy seats, and much more! Spring-Mar Co-operative Preschool's Spring 2014 Consignment Sale is March 8th!
Sell your children's gently used clothes, toys and sports equipment (12 yr old and under) through our Spring Consignment Sale! Its easier than you think! Clean out your closets and make money in the process. Spring-Mar hosts baby and kids consignment sales twice a year, in the spring and the fall. Consignors receive 60% of the proceeds of the sale and the consignor fee is only $8. Consignors who volunteer to work the sale get 70%!! Our sale is conveniently located near the intersection of Fairfax County Parkway and Burke Lake Road. Items for sale include infant, toddler, and children's spring and summer clothing, shoes and accessories; baby and infant gear (strollers, packnplays, swings, rockers, bouncy seats, high chairs, etc...) as well as baby children's decor and bedding. We also sell maternity clothes and nursing accessories. And of course TOYS! This year we have included children's sports equipment and dance/gymnastics clothes/shoes (no winter gear, skiis, etc...). We do not sell car seats, booster seats, drop-side cribs, recalled items, VHS tapes or stuffed animals. Credit cards, cash and checks are accepted at the sales. Sales are held rain or shine.
