DC Metro Mom Says Goodbye On February 28, 2014 - We Are Moving To www.GoKidTrips.com!

Dear Friends,

As you probably already know, last year DC Metro Mom joined award-winning blogger Super NOVA Mommy, Micaela Williamson, in creating a new guidebook for local parents, Kid Trips Northern Virginia. We are so proud of the success of the book and of its companion website, GoKidTrips.com, and have enjoyed every minute of the book signings, media interviews, and events.

However, as parents we know that just as you get comfortable with one phase, another phase pops up with new life challenges: new jobs, new babies (welcome Ava!), and cross-country moves. Therefore, it is with some sadness that we announce that after 6 years, DC Metro Mom will be closing. The bright spot is that going forward, GoKidTrips.com will be the new home for our award-winning blogs, seasonal event information, and reviews. As Claudine prepares to move to Texas and Amy settles in at her new digs in Boston, we’ll bring you news of family trips across the country while Micaela continues to cover all the best local events.  

When DC Metro Mom’s journey began we never imagined all the fantastic experiences we would have and wonderful people we would get to know. The DC metro area is truly one of the best places to raise a family and we will miss this community of friends more than you know. We have been so grateful for the fun had together with DC Metro Mom and hope that you will join us on our new adventures with Kid Trips!
