Attention Music Lovers, Baseball Fans and Aspiring Princesses: M&M's Opera in the Outfield Presents a Free Simulcast of Cinderella on May 16!

M&M’S Opera in the Outfield on Saturday, May 16 at Nationals Park is a great FREE night out for families. This year's family-friendly production of Cinderella is a perfect choice for younger audiences, since the story is already familiar. Plus, it’s a comedy – you may think that opera is always tragic and everybody dies at the end, but thats not the case with Cinderella! Underneath the colorful comedy, the story's messages about love and forgiveness teach a great lesson.

In addition to the spectacular simulcast at 7:00 p.m., there will be a variety of fun “pre-ball” events geared towards children, including:

• A Royal Parade in which kids of all ages are invited to arrive in costume and march around the lower concourse (begins at 6:00 p.m. Please meet at section 131-132 at 5:45 p.m.)
• Photo opportunities for kids of all ages with characters from Cinderella and with the living statue of Babe Ruth
• Chances to win prizes, including tickets to family friendly Kennedy Center performances, the opportunity to attend the Kennedy Center 4th of July Celebration, and two tickets to the Kennedy Center 18th Annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor
• Performances by local artists including students from the Duke Ellington School of the Arts Opera Program and the Watkins Elementary Choir
• A screening of the Warner Bros. cartoon "What's Opera, Doc?," starring Bugs Bunny and his nemesis Elmer Fudd
• A meet and greet with Chief Chocolate Officer (CCO) of M&M'S® Ms. Brown
• Kids can also play in the open playground, dress up with items from our costume trunk, visit the craft table, and have their faces painted
• And more!

And for parents who want to grab a beer and lounge on the outfield grass at Nationals Park and listen to beautiful music as the sun goes down – well, M&M’s Opera in the Outfield is your best chance to do just that!   Whether you are music lover, aspiring princess, or a baseball fan, it's sure to be a night to remember.

Alternatively, $10 parking is available in Lots B and C at Nationals Park.
