By Claudine Kurp For 42 years Cox Farms has hosted one of the biggest Fall Festivals in the DC Metro area. It is 120 acres of pure family fun! Check out this awesome annual festival that offers up hayrides, pumpkin tosses, kid friendly farm animals, kettle corn, apple cider, live entertainment, slides and a petting zoo. Pick a beautiful day and head to Centreville, VA. Tasty concessions stands, ample parking, a friendly crowd and lots of open space make this a fun and easy day for the whole family. If you are looking for a cute shot of the kids, bring your camera and a cute outfit. The entrance has a staged area filled with TONS of pumpkins, lots of hay bales and even an old orange Volkswagen bug that provide the perfect backdrop for seasonal pictures. Don't forget to take your stroller. Little ones tend to loose steam before they reach the car. If possible hit, try to go during a week day or early in the morning, it can be quite crowded. We highly suggest going immediately towards the "famous hayride" first thing to avoid lines later. It's that awesome with a lot of laughs for adults and kids alike! Cox Farms Fall Festival runs until Nov 4, 2014. For more information, visit http://www.coxfarms.com/.
