Kite Festival at Gunston Hall

• Gunston Hall is hosting a family-friendly Kite Festival on Saturday, March 23 from noon-5 p.m. The event features a celebration of spring with fanfare from the 18th century.
  
  Gunston Hall is the former home of George Mason, Father of The Bill of Rights. It is a beautiful 500-acre plantation and colonial home sitting overlooking the Potomac on Mason Neck, VA. Visitors will find a vistors' center, the mansion, outbuildings, beautiful grounds, and a unique museum shop.

Kite Festival Details:


When: Sat, March 23, 12pm – 5pm

Where: Gunston Hall, 10709 Gunston Road, Mason Neck, VA 22079 (map)

Description: Come fly a kite in our pastures. Write with a quill pen, play 18th-century games, sample hearth cooking, climb on a modern fire truck.  There is also face painting, live music, and balloon twisting!  Don't have a kite? Don't worry, Gunston Hall sells colorful kites in their beautiful Museum Shop ranging from $9-16! Bring a picnic or buy one there!


Cost: $10, adults; Children under 18 free. Friends free. (Rain date is March 30th)
