by Micaela WilliamsonWe had a blast at the PAW Patrol Live! "Race to the Rescue" show. I've seen many live kids' shows over the years, and this one hit all right notes. As audience members entered the arena, everyone was given complimentary PAW Patrol pompoms. This was great because it gave kids a chance to interact, move and shake during the show, and it was also a lifesaver for those parents (like me) who don't want to spend a small fortune on plastic spinners that inevitably break the next week. The show was colorful, musical and had a lot of moving parts and interesting scenery to keep kids excited. We did not sit too close up, but even from higher level seats, the pup costumes and vehicles are large enough to see in detail. The plot of the show followed the pups and the silly, slightly evil Mayor Humdinger as they explore various places to find clues and win the great race. Of course as always with PAW Patrol, there are mishaps and people and pups that require rescues. The length of the show was absolutely perfect for little ones. It was roughly 90 minutes from start to finish, including a 15 minute intermission. (So roughly around two 35 or 40 minute acts.) The length kept it exciting and held the attention of the littlest fans! I highly recommend any of the PAW Patrol Live! shows for any fans ages 3-6 (even kids slightly younger and older will do well too.) The live show follows the same familiar pattern as the hit animated program, and kids literally gasp in awe to see their favorite pups come to life. I can't wait for the next PAW Patrol Live! show to come to our area again. It was extremely well done! Find tickets and learn about upcoming PAW Patrol Live events by visiting the official site here.
